"Eyes sometimes say more than the words. Women in developing countries don't have the voice that we do to talk about health problems like loss of sight."

"Women account for three quarters of people with cataracts in Africa and Asia. Sight-restoring cataract operations cost as little as $10. "

More than 85% of advanced trachoma sufferers are women.

This photo represents trachoma, a blinding disease spread that is spread by flies which flock to the eyes. It is significantly more common in women than men and is one of the biggest reasons women go blind in the developing world.
