I got these fabulous suede coach ballet flats yesterday. The hard part will be accessorizing them. I am very anti animal print due to the fact that so few women know how to do it correctly, but I bought a little zebra print clutch yday. I also got the much talked about too faced cosmetics lash injection mascara. Not so great. I'll be searching for something new soon.

I did nothing tonight. I got dressed to go to a basketball game... Only to get left by my friend. Hmm... It was a misunderstanding. Shit happens. Nothing to stress over. I did do some makeup today though. I've been slipping on my craft lately. The girls looked so cute. They made me wanna get dressed and go out. I worked out tonight. The most eventful part of my evening I guess. Day 3 of these newly imposed rules of living. I got some pretty big changes to make. Doing pretty good so far.
4 years ago, I had my life planned. I guess you can say I could see into my own future. I envisioned me, a HBCU graduate walking barefoot across a freshly done bamboo wood floor in white linen with a fresh fruit smoothie in my hand and dreds to the middle of my back. I live alone. I'm working on my graduate school. I'm wealthy and content. Not overly rich, but I have money. I live a low stress life. I'm single. No kids. No girlfriend. I don't know what I do as a career but I know I'm not overworked and I know I help people. I might be on an island or a very quiet neighborhood. There is very little noise and lots of sunshine and serenity. I can see a very minimal amount of furniture. Maybe a breakfast table for two, a bookshelf, and a couch. Possibly a tv and a macbook. More books than anything though. My walls are adorned with magnificent works of art. My kitchen is the most ornate room of the house. I follow a very holistic approach to food and eat healthy. No fast food. No take out. No soda. No pork.
Honestly, my ultimate goal in life is to be happy. Not relying on anyone else to make me happy or make me whole, but to be absolutely happy and peaceful. I want a minimal amount of stress.
This vision always makes me happy. Possibly because every time I would see this vision I would see a woman with so much poise, class and humility. She's beautiful in the most astonishing way. Not the cover of the magazine beauty, but the type of beauty that emanates from the soul. Her smile is warm and soft and reaches all the way to the depths of her dark brown eyes. Her hair is perfectly manicured and free of chemicals and relaxers. Her skin is the smoothest mahogany brown. Her eyes are clear and alert. Her body is healthy. She had her own mind.
This lifestyle symbolizes freedom. The white denotes a greater spirituality and a better bond with God. She's a vegetarian. Anti-cruelty and very privy to world matters yet enclosed in a state of peace and serenity in her adobe.
There are other components to her life, but I want to focus on the peace and serenity. I'm on a quest to be at peace with myself. That involves eliminating all those causing controversy and disarray. I guess deep down inside I really am a homebody. This life choice came after the disillusion of my first relationship and I realized that love is not forever and I can not base my life on the dreams of someone else. I always said I don't plan on getting married. Since my parents divorced, I never believed in it. I figured it was just a ceremony. The vows don't change people. Taking me to the alter won't make you any less of a cheater. Unfortunately I met her and fell in love. I never planned in a million years to be with her the rest of my life. My love for her and conflicting goals definitely butted heads a few times. For the last 3 years me and her have been going back and forth about what we want. She says she wants me, but her actions don't show it. I say I want her but my pride is not going for it. We planned on getting married. But i cant give her what she wants. Love isn't going to make us perfect. So i guess I'm playing it by ear. If she switches her style, and her plans coincide with my plans then we'll be good. She always said she wanted to be in my life. She wanted to be the one to alter my plans. She wanted to be a part of my dream. I must admit, she had me open to the idea. When I said I'd have her kids, I meant it. But that was before she started stressing me. I guess, if she changes her plans, mine will change on their own.
P.S. I've been going natural for 7 months now. Well, i permed the front of my head in June. Why the front and not the back? IDK. I had a half quick weave and the straight hair wouldnt blend well with my naps. Go figure.

Everytime I go to that class I walk away with a slightly altered state of mind. Today we discussed the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombs killed as many as 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki by the end of 1945, roughly half within seconds after the bomb was dropped. Since then, thousands more have died from injuries or illness attributed to exposure to radiation released by the bombs. In both cities, the overwhelming majority of the dead were civilians. I just want to know WHY. Who the hell was on the council to decide that it was okay to kill thousands of innocent people? The bomb was originally designed to force Germany to surrender, yet they surrendered without the bomb being used so the US turned their attention to Japan. The Japanese were not alerted to the bombs and had no idea that they would soon be faced with such an ultimatum. The bomb produced "firewinds" which burned steadfastly and unabated for 2-3 hours after the explosin and sucessfully destroyed the entire city of Hiroshima. The civilians had no hope. Thousands of innocent lives were lost. Thousands of civilian lives were taken within seconds and to this day people still suffer from the radioactive fallout. Millions of people have been affected. How could you do something like this to people? Doesn't that put us on damn near the same level as Hitler? They're human. They're people just like you and I. Innocent at that. Now what would have happened if they bombed us back? That would have been a disaster right? That would have been something to cry about right? Well why do something to someone else you wouldnt want done to you? Boy, i sure hope Obama has a sturdy international policy. I sure hope the next four years will be marked by remarkable change and awesome politics.

Some way, some how she, somebody decided she would be a good fit to sing at the inauguration. I beg to differ. And I'm not alone. Yep. It's the time of year again. Everyone is rushing to register for classes. First day to register; 7 am. And classes are already full. Why oh why?? All I wanted was to Take Figerou or Guerda's Spanish class. Thankfully I'm adding 18 hrs. So if i dont like my teacher I can drop that bitch and pick it up next semester and register quickly. I'm soo upset I wasted a precious elective taking spanish 1. I really need that JUST IN CASE i actually decide to minor in business or art (great choices right?) Thankfully I got majority of my classes scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday. That means I will have a few long weekends. Dont have to worry about getting up Monday, Humpday OR Friday. I have two classes those day actually. But I scheduled one because I KNOW I dont have to show up (web enhanced) and the second one... I didnt have a choice. *sigh* that wasnt as hard as everyone made it seem. The whole campus was stressed out. I might cross register this semester. Take PE at spelman or something...
